Priya Rajan (born in 1993, age: 28 years) is an emerging politician from Tamil Naidu. She has been finally chosen as the New mayor of Chennai city which made her a more popular and eminent personality in the Politics of Tamil Naidu.
Refereeing from recently published news then Priya has been elected as the Mayor of Greater Chennai Corporation on 06th March 2022.
He won this election from Ward 74 in “Thiru. Vi. Ka Nagar zone” Not only this credit of becoming mayor she has added. But Priya has now been titled the first Dalit woman to become mayor in of the Town In Tamil Naidu. Mayor Priya Rajan Bio – Born by having the talent of being a politician in her genes Mrs. Priya has spent her complete childhood in Chennai, Tamil Naidu. Growing up in Chennai she is having a good knowledge of Chennai city history. Though she has just entered the Political world she will appear in a personal interview in the upcoming day where she may share her childhood stories.
But one story that she has shared recently after winning is related to her inspiration MR. M.K Stalin. Mrs. Priya shared that as her family is working with DMK for decades therefore she has always admired Supremo Mr. Stalin and Karunanidhi as her political gurus.
Priya shared the incident when she was 7 years old and wanted to meet Mr. Karunanidhi. She was attending one of her cousin’s weddings in a hall, which was located just behind the DMK headquarters where Karunanidhi visited as a guest inside a hall.
“I was so excited and decided to see him. I went around the wedding hall towards the party office to catch a glimpse. There were so many supporters and I was this small girl trying to push my way towards the stage where he was sitting,” she narrated.
Keen to meet MR. Karunanidhi Priya asked one of the people inside the party that he should take her to the stage. The man denied it and said that she is too young to go on stage.
“The man refused, saying I was too small to go on stage and that I should go back to my parents. Thirty minutes later, I saw Kalaignar heading towards his car. I squeezed myself through the crowd and waved out. He reached out for my hand. I saw love, compassion, and humility, all in his smile,” Priya said.
Meeting Mr. Karunanidhi and making it one of the defining moments of her life Priya has earlier passed her school from Chennai Public School and then graduated from Sri Kanayak Parameswari Arts College.
Completing her graduation she then Mastered in Commerce from the same college. She now earlier has been listed for the election of the Mayor post due to her M.Com degree only.
